Need Help ASAP

Liquid, thankfully. I got most their meds in them by slowly, drop by drop putting it near the tip of their tongues.

I’m afraid I won’t get medical supplies in time to help them which is why I am looking for alternatives. I’m honestly feeling very overwhelmed and defeated. I’m trying not to be but I’ve lost 3 in 24hrs and it feels hopeless. I’ll keep trying. More venting than anything.

Yes, wrap them in a towel and sit with them on your lap holding her with your left arm close and securely to your body.

Once they are calmed down use your left hand and take your thumb and index finger and try to pry her mouth open using both those fingers (and nails which you will probably have to use to open the bill).

Holding on securely take your syringe and aim it down the DUCK'S RIGHT side of her mouth. That is very important so you don't get the liquid or pill down the trachea which is in the middle.

Click here and scroll down on the page to see the anatomy of the mouth and you'll see what I mean:

Thank you for the towel tip. I used the 1cc syringe and got about that amount of very watered down food in each of them. I don’t think I got any in their wind pipe as I pointed it far right and went down as far as I could and then waited to see if they were still breathing before I began pushing the plunger.

Have they been drinking okay? You want to make sure they are fully hydrated before feeding, as feeding a dehydrated bird could kill them.

Can you see if the vet that saw you today could sell you the needed tube feeding supplies? You'll want an 18 fr feeding catheter, a catheter-tip syringe, and baby parrot formula.

If the vet can't sell these things to you, you can get some aquarium tubing, cut it down to the appropriate length, and then melt the edges of the end that would be going into the ducklings. Then, you can pick up a catheter tip syringe at Tractor Supply, and baby parrot formula at a pet store like Petco or Petsmart.

Basically at this point it's keeping them fed and alive long enough to let the medicine do its job.
