I have a hen that is swinging her head around all weird..I dont know what is causing it or what to do..she can breath...I thought maybe she was choking but she is breathing ..was still trying to eat n drink ..it seems like it was an anxiety thing..because she has calmed down a bit...but I am still worried. I am hoping my rooster didnt hurt her neck...ok as typing she has stopped...is this anxiety?

The problem could be wry neck which is a symptom of disease, head or neck injury, or vitamin deficiency. The neck can be twisted to the side, upside down, looking down, and looking up. I would suspect an injury, but I would start poultry vitamins or PolyVisol without iron and selenium right away. Also provide a quiet low stimuli area to rest. You may need to feed her and make sure she it taking water. Here is some info:

It doesn't quiet seem like it is this, but I will keep an eye on her to make sure. I was reading some other posts and found out they can do that to adjust their crops. She was eating while it happened so as I first suspected it seemed like she was choking. I gave her a few drops of olive oil like they had said and now she is sleeping and it stopped

Good to know that it isn't wry neck. Yes they will adjust their crops normally. Check it in early morning, and it should be mostly empty--if not it could be impacted if it is full and hard. Here is a link about crop problems if you ever need it: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/04/answers-from-chicken-vet-on-impacted.html
Thank you very much ...she is in the house now so I will check her first thing...but if it is this wry neck it can correct its self with those vitamins and high protein food?
