the incubator is one i made at home

A lightbulb, PC fan, and a digital thermostat relay

it hasnt been shut off since january it works great. Ugly but works so good. i use the purple foam on the bottom to put the eggs on. i just shuffed all the electrical cords in it to put it away

So the parents were a silver appleyard and a pekin?

Looks like you now have some information about what color your pekin is 'under' the white She has to be a mallard color. Probably just regular gray, judging from the way the ducklings are. There aren't any sex links, your drake would have needed to be buff or chocolate for that.

What you do have appear to be some restricted mallard babies (the ones that look like appleyards), and some gray babies, which will look like mallards as adults. Now, the restricted mallard ones may not look just like an appleyard as an adult, because they may not be light phase, which is recessive and requires two copies to express. So they will have definitely received a copy from dad, but I doubt they received one from mom.

Generally if they are light phase mallard, you can see it on the regular gray babies as the 'dots' of white on their backs actually being connected by a line and looking like more of a stripe. I don't see this on the grays, so I'm thinking mom isn't light phase 'under' the white. All the babies will carry it though, having gotten a copy from dad.

And also they are all carrying white, from mom.
