Gander007...I posted a pic of the stage we are at...don't know if it helps with suggestions or not. Where should I open the membrane up at this point?

I would start nearest to where you think the beak is to give um breathing room then work my way around the shell just like pealing an orange till you see any fluids but make sure at the same time your duckling has sucked up the entire egg sack as this is the nutrients for the next several days ........

In the pic I posted you can see his beak and he's breathing a little hard...stressed I imagine but it looks like the sac may be right there as well the other end is his body, almost like he is curled up. The membrane still has a mucous substance adhered to it unlike my last hatch where it was pretty dry. Should I still try and open it up?...I'm may be over worrying but don't want to lose him.

I decided to place him back in the incubator in hopes he can try and make it with a little more time. His membrane was just too wet to help him any further. These pics were taken at 12am and I'm hoping he will advance further by tomorrow morning.

It sounds like he is drying out go ahead and give him some breathing room
and the incubator is the best place for him till he can move around ........

This is our progress as of 6:30am. He was still stuck at this time but the membrane was a lot better looking, I peeled it back where he appeared to be stuck and his head and wings gently rolled out. He appears exhausted and I left the lower part of the membrane in case the sac hasn't absorbed yet. Will check back about noon and see how that's coming along. Any suggestions on this, as to my leaving him to rest a few hours.

7:27am - he has moved himself out of the egg and looks as if most of sac has been absorbed. we are both exhausted...hahaha...I'm leaving him alone and hopefully he will get stronger as the day goes. Praying he does ok!
