So I have this baby, it's only one that survived of four rescued from a bad situation at a few days old. She's got beautiful coloring coming in and I'm trying to figure out what she could be. Possibku apricot? Too peachy for snowy. I have pastels and butterscotch and she's not either of those.
Thanks so much!

Hi.

Your duckling is cute...!!

I would say... Brown/Chocolate phase Harlequin?

...Do you have a picture of her younger?
Looking at her (entire) fluff colour could help determine her plumage colour!

Thanks for responding! Are those different from just direct chocolates? I have chocolates and they're definitely different. I know the basic colors but that's about it. Attached, here she is when I grabbed an old metzer box and ran to rescue them. She looked almost white/silver to me. Her siblings were a gray, butterscotch, and I think a snowy. None of them made it unfortunately. The woman had "accidentally" killed dozens of birds through neglect. So I'm just glad this little girl made it

You are welcome!

Yes.

You can find a picture of a Brown phase Harlequin Indian Runner duck here : https://www.facebook.com/IndianRunn...e-standard-harlequin-phase-r/824207799753872/

She looks yellow on the picture... hard to say if she is Brown Harlequin or not...!
(I'm really curious!)

You would have to keep posting pictures as she grows so people who are familiar with this colour can give their opinion...

What the...?

How does that even happen?!

Ah I see, I have runners, I didn't know the colors could be similar but duh makes sense! Thanks for all the links, I'll check the rest of those out after I'm done filling Waterers for the seven thousandth time today in this heat 😂

Yeah she was a trip. Lots of excuses and claims like a rogue mad duck killed most of them, fed all the wrong feed and not enough so she could be cheap. Claimed ignorance but I don't excuse willful ignorance when it comes to animals wellbeing. We all make a mistake here and there along the way but this was way more. Didn't use heat lamps for babies. Nothing I could prove. So I rescued what I could and got out of there. She was nuts
