as you do not know my chickens or have seen how they interact with any of my other birds.. I suggest you leave comments like that to yourself.... there’s also the way she moves how petiet her body structure is my own personal research.... while she doesn’t “sit” on the ducklings she does have a strong sense to protect them from the other chickens (and ducks).... her full size (as she is today) she fits in my hand.... and from doing my own research a rooster (or cockerel) would have much larger wattles and a very red comb.... not the rose pink of hers....

im taking her to the vets tomorow to get her sexed.... will update when I get home.

Look, I would bet my life that you have a rooster. Also, please don’t ask an inexperienced vet to vent sex him. They might injure him and will most certainly get it wrong. And then even when he’s got saddles and is crowing, you’ll be saying he’s a hen. Get a DNA test.
I don’t want to insult you, but it’s really frustrating when the professionals with years of experience on here tell you it’s male and you refuse to believe us.
Your bird has male comb, male feathering pattern, and most of all, MALE SADDLE FEATHERS.
And in response to what you said, it doesn’t matter what “she” does with the ducklings. At his age, a female wouldn’t have mothering instinct due to her not laying yet.
Chickens can be nice and still be male.

I don’t think this is true. We are not bullying anyone. We are frustrated that OP is refusing to believe our experienced answers, but we are not bullying.

Oh my! OP, I am so sorry if it's coming off as bullying! We just don't want you to spend hundreds of dollars going to the vet for vent sexing when DNA sexing is probably much cheaper, easier, more accurate, and safer for the bird.

Just calling it as I see it Jade... What I see is a whole bunch of people being rather forceful about "making" this woman accept their views and getting rude with her when she doesn't. (And yes I know orps vs cochs is a joke - I participated in it remember )
