Need help identifying this breed

That’s what I was wondering as well.
It seems to make the most sense... that’s it’s so obvious lol.... we read and see so many things about poor diets in young chicks and duckling causes angel wing.... well maybe that’s why she hasn’t feathered like she should have for her age by now... she’s still very chick fluffy.... maybe it’s something so simple as her poor diet when she was younger....

Time will tell. Keep updating.

I do not believe it would grow wonky feathers that look identical to male specific saddles, due to malnutrition. You've had Aubrey long enough now that we're seeing the excellent progress you're making with nutrition. Whatever feed you're using could use Aubrey as one of those before/after testimonials.

Do not doubt this site. We have people every day that come from all corners of the web with birds they were told were XYZ. We often correct other's mistakes.

People on here are either experts or experts in training. There’s room for mistakes - so long as they are corrected.
We know chickens.
And anyone who comes on here who doesn’t quickly learns.
I know this to be true.
@EmmaRainboe knows this too.
And so many others.
We are not stupid. We are not cruel or trying to lie to you. We see male feathers on your bird. Just because everyone on Facebook says it’s a hen doesn’t mean they’re right.
Just because you paid a vet to tell you what you wanted to hear doesn’t mean it was the truth.
I’m sorry that you don’t believe us now.
But soon, I promise you, soon.....Audrey won’t stop crowing or growing shiny feathers.

I've seen lots of posts in this thread thread stating that Audrey is male.
I've seen the Original Poster's reasons for continuing to believe that Audrey is female.

It looks to me like we should all just sit back and wait a few months, because then the answer will be obvious. No amount of arguing will change the facts, but time will make those same facts more clear.

Personally, I would like to continue to see updates as time passes and Audrey matures--but if the mods close this thread for too much arguing, then we will never see updates in THIS thread where they are easy to find.

Agreed. I think we should wait and see for some more updates. If Audrey never lays an egg and starts crowing, she's a cockerel. If she does lay an egg, she's a pullet.

I can always make a new thread dedicated to Audrey that’s not a problem having a title along the lines of “Audrey updates” will make it easy enough to find...lol

I had a big black wyandotte mix chick whom I thought was a boy. some of her hatchmates went to other homes, but I always held her back because she was big with a fat comb I was sure she was a boy. She kept getting bigger and was the biggest chicken I owned. She did finally lay an egg.

I had a silky EE mix once I swore was a boy. She was raised with 2 roosters, (At the time that was all I had in my flock), and every day she would attack me. One day when I took a real beating from her I swore I was going to send her down the mean rooster HWY when I looked in the nest box and found a pretty green egg. I was so happy, every time I saw her I would pick her up and hug her and give her kisses. After that she stopped attacking me, and I realized all she wanted was attention. She would come up for love every day.

Every time I see my meteorologist, I think of your chicken. Her name is Aubrey.

I don't like my Aubrey. She just forecasted more snow. :rant
