The urates have significantly improved believe it or not. They started off green. Then mustard. Then banana and now are more cream. They appear darker on camera.

Sure could be infection, probably slightly dehydrated too.

I've got it bagged and ready to go. I'm heading out around noon. I'll know by this afternoon assuming it's a good sample and they don't mess up the float.

Ask your vet if they can do an in house gram stain to check for bacteria and yeast.

What is the difference between a starter versus the grower? I put my hens on layer feed in the spring and summer but switched to starter when I got him bc they stopped laying at that point. I don't think they make his food in grower but I can look around if needed.

It really depends on the brand. The best thing to do is compare labels and pick your feed based on what the nutritional requirements of your flock are.

It's actually pretty low protein at 16%. I was afraid it was too low.

That is pretty low for a starter.
