Need help identifying what happened to my feed

I have corid liquid. He mentioned he has something that starts with a P. He's going to call me back in a bit to find out about medication. I'll get that name from him. It's for cattle I think.

I do have Albon at home as well but its sulfa. I have a hen a few years old with liver impairment. I have to be careful with sulfa drugs since I'll be treating them all. Is baycox a sulfa?

He weighs about 4. Could this explain his staggering?

The one that begins with p, I wonder if that's Marquis paste for horses.

Albon can be used too, though it is usually given orallly, not in water. They do make another sulfa drug that can be used in water too though.

Baycox is not a sulfa, it's toltrazuril, a highly effective coccidiostat anti-protozaol that I have used in poultry and kittens.

Is it ok to start corid tonight (in bolus since it's so late) and then switch tomorrow to the ponazuril if I can't get it today? The vet is out on a farm call and I may not be able to get it til tmrw. He needs medicine today. Do you know the dosage by chance? He did mention he didn't know it and would have to dig it up since it's off label in chickens.

Or would I be better to order the baycox and use corid until then and switch?

ok I'll get that!! I'll let you know what I find out.
My advice, for what it's worth... Listen to your vet. Trust that your vet knows how to treat stubborn coccidia. Treat just the one that is sick and treat him orally, not in drinking water. If you are worried about doing this, let us know and we will guide you through the process!

You can give Corid tonight. You have liquid or powder?

Get the Ponazuril because it will too long to order Baycox (toltrazuril).

The corid works but as soon as I stop it his symptoms return in 3 days. I almost wonder if I should treat the girls as well if he has that much. It's a small house and a small run.
