My two turkey's were attacked last night. We came home to lock them up (around 8:30) and saw white feathers all over the field. No sign of him. The other one was ripped open under his wing and under his belly. I cleaned it and put antibacterial spray on it, (the best I could with out giving him a heart attack). He is eating okay but his body is ravaged. What else do I need to do for him? I don't know if I should just put him out of his misery or just keep babying him and hope he gets better. I don't know what attacked him either. I would think if it was a coyote it would have killed both of them. I was thinking a hawk but that is a pretty big thing for a hawk to take down. What would spread feathers through out a pasture and then eat all of the turkey but the carcass and feathers?
