Need Help.. New to raising Chickens

The huge combs(the red fleshy bits on the heads) are very large and red. Which can be breed dependent but I'm sure they developed those pretty quickly.

The red one has a deeper red brown color on the shoulders which is male specific coloring. The darker barred one also has male specific coloring in the shoulders.

The crowing. The point shiny saddle (above the tail) and hackle feathers(around the neck)

These feathers are more coarse and and pointy. If you compare these parts to your pullet I'm sure you'll see the difference.

The red feet is an indication of testosterone. But sometimes isn't visible depending on leg color.

Their size. Their upright stance, pullets tend to be lower or more level depending on the breed.

They also appear to be getting sickle tail feathers in which are longer feathers which continue to grow (especially in long tailed breeds) and are on the top edge of the tail usually. These feathers eventually grow quite long and curve. Like sickles.

This is not my photo and I hope this goes through

This being your first go with chickens I would not keep any roosters at all.
They are not needed to get eggs from a hen.

Depending on where you are located you may want to start some chicks or try and find ones about 18-20 weeks old.

Ideal has Buff Orpington still hatching among other breeds. Meyers hatchery and Mypetchicken also have chicks available but charge a lot more for shipping.

Where are you located? Someone on here may be close to you and be able to help.

sorry all three are roosters. Generally a rooster can handle 10 hens , you would need 30 hens to keep your guys busy. Much better to rehome them and get your hen some female companions. You can always get a rooster, if you feel you need one, when you have a big enough flock(hens) to manage him.

I am in Bloomfield, KY. I am going to try and find homes for the roosters, but I saw postings at the feed store that others are giving away roosters or trading. Makes me bummed, and there is no way that I could get enough pullets. :(
