NEED HELP PLEASE is this Eye Infection?

Can someone help me with this?
My rooster "Bill" is not feeling well 8 months old.
Please look at the comparisons of pictures.
His eyes normally are gold in th bottom photo.
I just took a picture and his eye color is blood red, does this mean he has staph infection?
This morning when I let him out of the run to free range with the hens he went over
by the fence and laid down. He is not standing proud like he always does, last night he was first to
shut his eyes when he perched in the coop. Do I need to take him to an avian vet or is there something I can do?

Wow, very interesting... Never seen that before, but you could try some eye antibiotics like Terramycin Antibiotic Ophthalmic Ointment, or maybe that and some steroid drops if you're 100% sure there is not a scratch in the area.

Thank you Kathy! I will look to see if it is one eye or both first.
Both eyes are red! So maybe he needs an Ophthalmic Ointment.
Need to find out where I can get some of the ointment?
