Need help please. Pullet seems to have obstruction in throat and/or air sac/lung

I apologize to keep replying. I am just freaking out pretty bad right now. I don't know how much to administer and what is the best way to administer. Do I break the capsule open or give her the entire thing by placing it in something she will eat? I feel like I am going to be sick now. How did I get so attached to chickens?

In the morning call about sending a fecal sample to the state lab - have them check for worms, coccidia and get a gram stain too.

Amoxicillin dosage is 57mg per pound of weight given orally 2 times a day for 7 days.

I do think that she's not feeling well. The cockerels may be bothering her enough that she's not eating/drinking well too. Sometimes the boys need to be separated out and mature before they are put with the pullets and hens. 2 hormonal teenage boys would be a challenge for even mature hens to handle much less pullets the same age.

She does not really have much color nor much comb yet but I definitely haven't noticed blue. I'll go take a look in her mouth and throat again.

I did make her a wet mash with water, feed, dried oregano and parsley, and nutri drench. She nibbled on it a bit

This is so wierd! She is drinking and ate an entire scrambled egg, along with a little bit of mash. She's walking around picking up any left over bits of egg. I don't get it. Any idea about what this could be

Her crop is getting something full. Could the little silkie have got her so upset that she didn't eat or drink today and that possibly got her blood sugar to drop and cause the symptoms she was exhibiting? She is still closing her eyes every so often though. Could this be a head injury? I am just at a loss...

So the dosage comes out to 180.2mg. Any ideas on how to get close to that with 500mg capsules?

The sick EE is the only chicken you will be treating. Maximum dose of fish mox is 250 mg per day. Divide the 500mg cap into four equal proportions, or as close as you can come to it. You can fold the powder into a tiny wad of bread and slip it directly into her beak and let her have some water to wash it down, although she should have no problem swallowing it.

You will treat her with 125 mg in the morning and again at night for ten days, starting immediately. So, to be clear, one 500mg cap will serve to dose her for two days, at 125 mg each dose.

Keep her warm and hydrated. This should take effect right away, and within 24 hours, if this is her problem, you should see some marked improvement.
