She laid, very relaxed, on my lap and didn't struggle at all. I set up a lounge chair into a little tent for her to stay in temporarily, with towels, an old feed bag, and puppy pads under her. I'll also be giving her water. I plan to return her to the coop when it gets dark.I would use the cotton, but not tying dental floss around the toe, or it could possibly cut off circulation. Even Kleenex tissue held against a bleeding wound for a few minutes while holding her and just hanging out will usually stop bleeding. The more upset she is, and the more struggling involved, the more they can bleed. I have had chickens bleed from broken blood feathers, from being pecked on the combs, and other injuries, but never had one keep on bleeding.
