Nope. I'm not suggesting bribing. Just neighborly sharing. If you have birds and eggs to share, that can go a long way.

Then again, I'm a girl working at a job with a bunch of men so I've gotten skilled at being nice to get what I want. A girl being assertive tends to get called bad names whereas guys can get away with more.

Sometimes where I work, it's like Kindergarten without the benefit of nap time or snacks.

I'd be surprised that a bar owner would get involved in anything that could possibly cause a complaint against his bar. I own a wine and beer bar and Alcohol & Beverage Control will fine you and close your bar down in a heartbeat. I think I'd start making some notes on what goes on at that bar so you can use that to change the guys mind about filing a complaint....put the word out that the bars been unusually loud, patrons fighting every night, the bar not closing on time....etc. He'll think twice about risking his license!

I thought it was strange too. Bars have far more to worry about than a neighbors chickens. Really not even the same time of day for chicken noise and their business

The only thing I would worry about is if this city has an ordinance against having livestock/poultry in city limits. I don't think a noise ordiance would apply to quail, would it? It's more about the sanitary issues, I believe.

I am so sick of this crap. When did it become a bad thing to keep livestock, of any sort??

People use to mind their own freaking business. Now they have some "oh, I must stick my stubby nose in here and roll my finger around in all your *&^%" mentality.

I can't offer you legal help, just thought I'd get nosy and unload on the jerks that are quickly killing country America.

And to whine about a noisy BOB WHITE? Oh my, I wish my problems in life were so small that I could complain and notify the authorities when my neighbors get a new pet, gun, pot plant or whatever. Oh wait, no I don't.

Oh course, I have a life and mind my own business as long as you aren't cooking meth or its equivalent on my street.

I'm sorry they are treating you like a criminal because you're trying to do what our people have done since FOREVER!
