need help!! waddling baby quail

hi guys, im in great need of help!
i'm new to owning quails and recently one of my baby quails (1 month and a week old) have been moving weirdly almost waddling around.
i wish i was able to post a video of it walking but it’s making me really worried because i was reading information on google and they stated that it might have to be put down. it seems like every time it walks, the butt is sticking up and it sometimes falls and stumbles back down.
i fed it some oats and chia and it seems to be better but then it starts waddling after a few minutes. oh i should also include that the quail sleeps most to the day but i think it’s normal for baby quails.
any help is great appreciated!!

i inserted a picture of my quails!! it is the brown one that seems to have the trouble the other white one is totally fine.

That doesn't sound good. I hope that chia seeds and oats aren't the main diet for these birds, though. They need a good game bird feed.

also forgot to mention that i have been seeing feather everywhere from both of them. is that an issue?

They might be moulting, but I'm concerned about their feed. If they're not getting enough protein that could cause feather issues. Other nutritional lacks can cause all kinds of problems, including the one you're describing.

hopefully this works! but i let them out to show you the waddling but in the background you can see my other quail and it’s walking normally.

There's definitely something going on there. Have you checked her legs and feet? Do you see any swelling or sores? Any green, purple, or blue skin (bruising)?

i got the chick starter from the breeder so i’m not quite sure what kind it is. but i’m willing to buy a better chick starter if needed
