If you have a used (don't care about) blade on the circular saw then just turn it around. By running the blade backwards it provides the friction to cut sheet metals.
This works very well, I just don't feel like I have the fine control over the cut that I do with a pair of manual or powered shears. My Amish neighbors build steel pole framed buildings for a living and they use cordless shears that fit onto a Makita drill. Cuts like butter.
