I was given three chickens, about 10 weeks old. The lady didn't know anything else about them--they were her daughter's and she had to move. One is a red, I don't know if you can narrow it down any more than that from a picture. The other two I have no idea. They are black, with black legs and black on the beaks. Small combs. Some white on the feathers, either the tips of one on each side or maybe whole feathers, it was hard for me to tell. Here are the best pictures I could get:

Can someone please tell me what breed they are? And I'm hoping hens, not roosters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to BYC!

Those are black australorp pullets.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined the flock!

I agree with Mountain Peeps, they are Black Australorps or Black Jersey Giants (check the bottom of the foot to be sure; Australorps have pinkish-white footpads, while Jersey Giants' are yellow). They're most likely Australorps, as they are much more common. Either way, you should get lots of nice brown eggs from those girls. Actually planning to get a few Australorps next year.
