Need Help With Sick Egyptian Fayoumi Hen

So sorry for your loss, as you said God had his hand on Chica's other shoulder.
Thank you Spring,

I have lost so many birds due to Marek's disease and so few to causes other than Marek's but I can only roughly estimate that I've lost somewhere between 50 and 75 birds in the 8 years that I have been keeping a flock. I told my husband today that every time I lose one I ask myself why I am still keeping chickens and then I go out and open the coop doors and they come stampeding out like clowns from a mini car, and suddenly I know why I still have a flock.

They make me smile.:D

I'm so sorry. :hugs I keep notes on all my birds, in case I need to remember something from one I treated, or lost, in the past, but I've never actually gone back and counted how many I've lost. Don't think I ever will, that's just too sad for me. But I feel the same as you, the joy and pleasure they give me while they are here is why I keep going. Sometimes things are out of our hands, no matter how much we try.
