Ok! Is it crumbles? You might not have known this, but quail chicks need commercial sized crumbles crushed even smaller for the first week. They're just too big for the little babies. I just put some crumbles in a Ziploc bag, seal it and squeeze out all of the air, then crush it with a mallet or sledge hammer to get it really fine.I have ace hi bird starter high protein. And save a chick probiotic and electrolyte powder
Medicated is actually "technically" ok for quail, but it isn't necessary.I almost bought medicated on accident! That would have been really bad
No it wouldn't. The 'medicated' part is not medicine.I almost bought medicated on accident! That would have been really bad
Keep them warm, not too hot, and wait.I was really worried because some were active and others were active one minute and then they would lie down, looking like they are dying but then they would get up like nothing happened. I was a little worried about that but the I for you just gave me makes sense. Thank you!
That's normal for young chicks! Once they're a 3 or 4 days old they should start to get more active. What is the temp in there?I was really worried because some were active and others were active one minute and then they would lie down, looking like they are dying but then they would get up like nothing happened. I was a little worried about that but the I for you just gave me makes sense. Thank you!
Oh that looks great! You don't need to crush it then. I can only get crumbles here.Well it’s actually crushed really fine I’ll post a picture
