Need help!

You guys have any recommendations on what I should put under them? Pine shavings, paper towels, or something else?

I use puppy pads for the first week. Sometimes they can eat shavings and get blockages. It's rare, but can happen. After they're a week old you can switch to shavings or straw.

Oh my gosh, they are so adorable!
Thank you! , and yes the internet has too many conflicts with the information they give. Every other website or article gives you some other type of information and it doesn’t help at all. If I didn’t have this forum......... I would have been soo lost

Oh I know! The internet can be really frustrating at times, lol. This forum has been so invaluable to me.

That’s what I was thinking!! I bought some puppy pads about an hour ago for them. I was thinking that they might eat some of the shavings.

Oh, that's great! I start all of my birds on puppy pads, they work really well imo.
Yeah, I have had several chicks eat shavings. Pulling those out of their throats with tweezers is not fun, lol.

I have 19 more about to hatch in 4 days! It’s going to be soo much easier. I’m 100 times less stressed than I was at day 14 for batch 1. I also have 4 pigeon eggs I’m hatching.

No way! They have swallowed shaving big enough to get stuck in their throats!! Now that’s pretty stressful.
