im going into lockdown tonight and i need some info... when the chicken hatches what do i need to do? i have a small incubator and most of the other eggs didnt make it. do i need to take them out when the chick hatches so that it will have room to move around and when do i need to feed and water the chick after it hatches? all info would help thanks

I candle and remove any non-viable eggs before setting the incubator up for hatch. After hatch, chicks can go up to 72 hours before they need food and water. However they will eat sooner than that if offered, so once you know the hatch is over, you can take the chicks out, put them in the brooder and have water and food available for them. It doesn't hurt to dip their beaks in the water a few times so they know it is there (or put marbles in the water and they will peck at the marbles and figure out its water that way).

When can I take the chick out of the incubator after ithatches
