Need information

This probably isn't serious but what could cause this and is there anything I need to do

The hen most likely just burst a blood vessel while laying the egg. She should be fine just if you have a rooster just don’t let him mate with her

Can you give us more information about not letting a rooster mate her?

Yes, I’ve read that since the egg comes out of the same place reproduction happens than her vent or the part where the egg develops can get a infection from the roosters bodily fluids. Not the best definition of what happens sorry

I read it way before I got chickens. I’m not sure if I can find it but I’ll try.
