Interesting. We call that prom here. And in most schools prom is for both Juniors and Seniors... Juniors put it on for the seniors and attend with them. It is held in late Spring.

Homecoming is for the entire high school and takes place in the fall. In addition most schools also have a winter ball of some sort in Jan/Feb called Winterfest or something similar that is also for all students. Freshmen thru Senior.

it ticks me off that i am so weak when it comes to my girls
i have to hire a maid to clean their rooms
yesterday my teen handed my husband her car keys and told him that her car was on E
and walked away
I had nothing as a child growing up
if i didnt know how to sing and dance which allowed me to enter contests that had money prizes
my life as a kid would had been worse
my girls know this
believe me they walk all over me
i bought my 11 year old an 100.00 knock off dress
only cause she is growing still
she had the nerve to tell me
mom its pretty but its not the real thing

I think if they clean the house to your specifications they should go to the homecomeing dance. Kids get side-tracked with the best of us. Maybe not to that extent but still... I know your wife was really busy, but she even got side-tracked because of all the stuff she had to do. She didn't do her chores either??

Even though she was busy 13 hours per day, running here and there, she certainly would have noticed a trashed house, right????
Boyd, glad your feeling better!!!!

Just send them to me! I could fix that in one week

I always threaten them with wife swapping shows
I tell them that I am going to get some real strict woman with a mustache to come in and whip them
sometimes they get so bad
i have to pack my stuff and go to a hotel and make them call me begging to come back home
I even threatened them with camping in a tent in our front yard with a huge sign that my girls are lazy
my teen said that if i did that i would be cutting off my nose to spite my face
and in a year and a half shes moving out anyway
and wont see the neighbors anymore

I chose other, I would let them go after they clean their messes, then ground them after homecoming. Homecoming is very important, I wouldn't want them to miss it! But I would say they could go to the game, then straight home for their 'grounded till your 30' sentence

what I've been thinking at this point...............

Let them go..... but they have to catch up their chores, do their rooms etc...... and then so I don't ruin the dance for them I tell them................. give them additional chores for the following week. Maybe an extra hour for each of them.

After all, somebody needs to muck out the chicken coop before fall is here
