Need Nest Box Help PLEASE!!

Thank you for all of your advice. I may have to try shredded paper or carpet. They like to scratch down to the bare wood whether I add shavings or straw or hay. Goofy birds!!

Mine do the same thing. I saw a post about nest box mats, and the link they posted took me to a site that had things that look like black rubber welcome mats, the ones with the little nubs that stick up to wipe your shoes on. I've seen bathtub mats that are similar, but somewhat softer. I plan to get some to try in my nest boxes. I'm tired of broken eggs, too. Oak isn't very egg friendly.

When you find something that works, please post it, I'll do likewise.
