Oh man.. my dad and mom pulled pranks on us kids EVERY YEAR until we were teens - and they got better and better.
here's a few they did:
dyed the milk an awful color with food coloring (when they came in a paper carton)
Took a pie tin (disposable kind) and decorated the entire thing with icing, sprinkles, hershey kisses - it looked WONDERFUL (turned it upside down to make it look like a cake). They made this HUGE deal about it - (we werent allowed to pick it up, but it was sitting on a cake stand). Then after dinner put it on the table and told us to cut into it.
MAN were we upset... but we did get to eat all the candy and icing off of it. CLASSIC!
Toilets: saran wrapped the toilet on us. THAT was funny.
Or.. Saran wrapped the doorways and then yelled for us to COME QUICK as we bounced off the saran wrap
Got trick soap and candy that would turn your mouth/teeth/tongue black for DAYS ON END (candy) or the soap would turn your face/hands black. WHAT A RIOT that was - and try to explain that to your friends next day at school.
Seaweed candy... yes, it LOOKS good but tastes HORRID
Of course.. we kids got our retaliation too.
Salt replaced for the sugar
Coffee was horrible you know! HA HA!
got "special shampoo" for Dad - and it changed his hair color (it washed out however) What a great sense of humor he had...
We'd color Dad's toenails and fingernails with Sharpie pens....while he was asleep - and he'd have to go to work the next day! HA HA HA HA!! LOVED IT!
Whipped cream on hands when they fell asleep watching TV... then use a feather to "bug them".... SMACK.. whip cream in the face.
My brother was famous for the fake blood scenes..... and sometimes took it a bit too far...
Oh man...I could go on and on... but you've brought back some great memories for me -especially since Daddy isnt here any longer.
PARENTS - HAVE FUN WITH YOUR KIDS while you can... they'll treasure these memories for the rest of their lives, trust me.
