egg is 45 degrees from straight up and down, then when you turn it's 45 degrees the other way.....you'll be turning it around 90 degrees, but don't put it on it's side.
I do my eggs on there side and not in a carton at all. I had a 11/13 hatch the first time out. I try to do as much as I can as natural as I can and a chicken don't use a carton to put her eggs in while she is sitting on them so why should I.
I was just wondering because someone had told me to try and keep the pointy side down even as I was turning manually. I don't know how I could accomplish that. I'm not crazy about putting them in an egg carton but I'll get an egg turner as soon as I can
