Maybe you can move the oldest/rowdiest cockerels to the bachelor pad and keep the youngest/most docile with the hens? As long as he(?) has one or two cockerel companions to help with the transition, I’m sure it will be fine.I'm torn on if I should leave him/her in the current coop or move with the other roos. I dont want to keep her in with the hens and then have to move it to the bachelor pad and reintroduce. Maybe I'll hold off on moving them all till we know for sure on that one.
Well, lavender orpingtons are tricky, since pullets sometimes get large combs early. Though I would lean towards cockerel on that orp.I am noticing that all my roos gave me this pose for the camera. So should I be worried about this little orphington![]()
