Need some help on gender

I'm torn on if I should leave him/her in the current coop or move with the other roos. I dont want to keep her in with the hens and then have to move it to the bachelor pad and reintroduce. Maybe I'll hold off on moving them all till we know for sure on that one.

Maybe you can move the oldest/rowdiest cockerels to the bachelor pad and keep the youngest/most docile with the hens? As long as he(?) has one or two cockerel companions to help with the transition, I’m sure it will be fine.

I am noticing that all my roos gave me this pose for the camera. So should I be worried about this little orphington

Well, lavender orpingtons are tricky, since pullets sometimes get large combs early. Though I would lean towards cockerel on that orp.

That is a good idea! I will definitely try that. Thank you. Not what I was looking for on that lavendar but when i was going through my pictures i thought it was a funny to see the common pose. There is 6 in that youngest group let's hope I dont have the same luck as my older ones

Silkie looks like a cockerel. Australorp looks like a pullet for now

Update..I moved my young guys to the a bachelor cooo yesterday. All did really well with the transition except the silkie. (Who now is crowing) he paced back and forth just trying to find away to get back. It seems he is the only one who got attached to some of the ladies. He is my oldest cockerel also. I do not have the highest ratio of hens to roo. I now have 10 older ones and 6 in the young group but not sure how many will turn out cockerels.
