I had some adventures trying to keep the temp from pinging around wildly and ended up using a heat lamp in the bottom and getting a reptile thermostat to control it. But, now it's keeping it within .2degrees for the past day.
If it's convection, you have to be careful where you drill or you will spring a leak. I could see that the door didn't have any tubing judging by the hinges, so I did all of the work there. I put in a fan at the top and the bottom of the door, and a pan of water on the bottom and on the top shelf. You may need to tinker with it for a few days to get it right. Also, make sure your hygrometer is callibrated, one of mine is off by 9%, the other by 21% (ridiculous!). If you post pics I might be able to help a bit more.
