need turkey help eye swolen

Although morbidity due to MG is high, mortality is generally low, except in cases complicated with concurrent infections or environmental stress. So sugar pills or no treatment would give the same results.

Are you looking to start another arguement? again? Which private homes do you speak of?

For the life of me I don't understand why you get like this oma. This forum and group are here to learn and help people, be it from cut and paste and links or from personal experience makes no difference if it helps answer a question. Give it a rest please

Did you not read any of the links I posted? Hatchery birds are normaly MG free. Private homes are not MG free. So if anyone buys from private homes you risk having eggs that have MG.

I don't know if you seen the video from Good Shepard Ranch. We they had MG there was not even a drop in egg lay. They do look normal but are carriers for life. It seldom kills them even without any treatment. It looks just swollen eye and head. They can get secondary infections with any illness. Without a culture you do not know what you are spreading around. In turkeys, sinusitis can also be caused by avian influenza, Mycoplasma synoviae, aspergillosis, pasteurellosis, chlamydiosis, cryptosporidiosis, Newcastle disease, and turkey rhinotracheitis. Fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida) is a frequent complication in turkeys and may be accompanied by fibrinous pneumonia.

If I cant find Tylan powder..can I put the liquid in their water..I dont see why not. I looked for Tylan 200 awhile ago and couldnt find it..only tylan 50 injectable I believe. The hen is walking around and wanting to eat but is having a hard time finding food with her swollen eye/head even though its just 1 side.
