Howdy everyone so we put up netting recently to keep our chickens from potential hawk attacks well because we got hit with a wicked snow storm in Michigan the snow completely caved in the netting. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep netting from falling from snow? We even put up 550 cord to stabilize it but it didn’t do much to help. A day after the netting came down two large red tail hawks were flying overhead thankfully I got em in their run right away but yea just trying to figure out what kind of netting can hold up in snow!

Put boards up across the top of the run. And then tack the netting up.
Over my run i have tin and then some chicken wire, the snow took down some of the wire so i just tacked it up with some more boards.
We have eagles, hawks, cats, coyotes, coons, and possums

What size openings on the netting? Did the netting tear apart somewhere or did the side or center supports buckle? Are there center supports (more than just a strand of wire) or cross beams on the run?

Ideally (but I understand if you don't have it available) do you have photos before this happened? Or after, if not.

Did you try beating the snow off the netting as it snowed?
