Speaking of chicks I better quit staring at my new babies and get ready for bed. I've only had them for 5 days (Polish) and 2 days (EEs, OEs and Ameraucanas) but I swear they have all grown since I got them! I always forget how fast they grow. The tiny Polish are sooo adorable! Kim's babies are having to get used to me but they are adjusting well. Candy's babies are the friendliest chicks ever! When I pet them they actually push up against my hand just like a puppy to be petted more! hahaha So many chicks, so much fun!!!

Sunny I think mine freaked out after dropping the waterer 3 different times in the brooder and hurt to bad to sit and play with the younger babies. Hope it gets easier after the next hatch.

Sunny I am really having a helluva time finding a truck but ive been so busy and stressed lately that i honestly havent given it as much thought as i should. I have to have the talk with her tonight. I dont wanna be mean or anything but its time for it i guess. I got to get her off her bum and dealing with the insurance companies so she can start moving on and getting a new place. *sigh*

And my blue birchin marans is finally laying. She is so sweet and fits in so well with the flock but her eggs are barely a one. UGH, that sucks so bad.

I'm so glad you like the chicks! How's the miracle lavender baby doing? My next batch of chicks are due to hatch Saturday (especially excited about the 3 bantam BLRW eggs) and I just started the eggs for my next order I'm having fun

This batch off eggs from my lavenders, wheaten, blue wheaten, buff x wheaten Ameraucanas and BLRWs look really pretty in my incubator

Awww poor babies. Don't worry I will spoil them with attention and treats til they adore me too! They are already adjusting quite well considering how nervous they were at first. Right now even a cough will startle them but they are reacting to that less and less too. You don't need to stress about these little guys. They will be just fine. I can tell already. They love my mash mix! I usually don't give it to older chicks but decided to give it to them all to get them over the trauma of traveling. But I may let them have it for longer since they gobble it up and don't seem to like the dry feed as much.

Bummer! About the egg color and having to have "the talk" to your friend. Good luck! And yeah, it's time. Don't worry about the bed. You can take your time.

Thanks for the invite Sunny to the dance. We would love to go but we can't go this Friday but another time would be great. John's & Nonni are trying to get use to me not being home to fix dinner and he's wanting to spend some time with me that night.

I won't be home at 7:15 yet but John will be and I'll have the bread machine ready for you. I have no idea how my DIL does it but I'll find out while she's here next month.

All this talk about family and losses and such. I was talking to my dad like I do everyday since mom passed and I mentioned, hey when are you planning on coming this way to visit. He laughed and said how strange it never crossed his mind to come out this way. Which for my dad it is strange because he always comes out at least once a year but he usually makes it 2 to 3 times. So he booked his flight to be here on their anniversary to celebrate with us and he said it would be nice to see her urn again and celebrate her life since it will be 3 years the day after our anniversary. I thought it was very touching of him.

I think that would be fun too Sunny, perhaps we can all go in June while he's here? We'll see but I know he would enjoy it. Mom and dad loved to dance.
