One of the buff x wheaten babies has super-curled toes, so curly that it's amazing it can walk right. I'm not sure if it's a boy or girl yet, but if it's a boy we'll need to put him in the soup pot. I don't think he'd sell for anything, with those toes. But if it's a girl, my husband wants to keep her. He has a soft spot for those curly toes.

First off, Missy, you can't have a Ghetto coop unless you live in the Ghetto. I also think a Ghetto coop would be made of cardboard (thinking of SNL & Eddie Murphy talking about his home in the alley right now). Now add the paint job you did, which is the best I've ever seen and that reminds me, I still need to have you paint my dining room in a Tuscan theme too, you don't have a Ghetto coop.

Pam, I'm so glad you're feeling better. I hope you heal really fast and can make it our way this year. I'm hoping we have a get together again like we did last year. Perhaps Rancho San Rafael would be better this time since we couldn't get a good spot last time?

Hey Seth, how are your chickies doing?

Elizabeth, you did get lucky getting the pullets. I'm still hoping for Lacey to be a pullet but she's not looking like it.

Out of the 4 BLRW I have, 3 are definite roos. I'm guessing the other to be a pullet just because her comb and wattles are so small compared to the other of the same age.

Here's a video of Harmony and Mo swimming while the chickens were watching them. I can't take the ducks out of the brooder unless the chickens come along. The chickens get very upset if they can't see their ducklings.

Yeah, I'd say Lacey looks like a roo. Is your lavender that pale, or is it the lighting? The ducks are getting so big! How is Harmony doing with her bill?

Amanda is pretty pale. I don't see any rows in her comb yet so I'm thinking girl so far.

Harmony is doing really well. She's hanging in there. I'm going to take her back to the vet to see what we can do about her upper bill, it's so much smaller than her lower bill and she's not gaining the weight as fast as Mo but it's to be expected with her type of injury. These guys grew so fast I can't believe it. They are huge compared to the chickies.

My chicks are doing fine but we are worried about the coop it hasent't come yet we are afriad it might be a scam

I know Candy wanted to see pics of Lacey to see how she's doing so I though she might like to see a video of these 2. I'm really enjoying this group of birds. They have personalities that I really love watching.
