I just saw the pic of your mascot on the first post. Which Barnevelder would that be?

I had quite a productive day. I got the front yard shrubs and perennials pruned/cleaned up etc. I watered and stirred up all my compost bins and I got the wire on the very last part of the run that connects to the roof of the coop.

and boy is she AWFULLY quiet right now! LOL! poor thing, I always feel bad for chickens when you first get them and they are adjusting to their prison time. She will be a happy camper in a few weeks and it will be like shes always been here bawking along the day with the other noisy girls.

She'll get used to it eventually. that would be funny if she ended up being quiet at your place. well, I have let the 11 week olds and the big girls mingle all day since you left and it has been going fine.

Sunny the regulations would have nothing to do with you since youre in a rural area. Basically right now as it is anyone in our urban zone cant do any kind of selling at all, and we would like to be able to do it just like you country folk with the same restrictions. The reason they want to present this to city councel WITH restrictions in place is so that their proposition will be more realistic. Having rules is better than not being able to do anything at all. But like i said, you guys wouldnt be touched.

Haha! Aubrey you have a gift! The boys just love you don't they? I have a few BCM boys that can be donated as well. They are gorgeous but I have way too many.

Hi Steff!!! So great to hear from you! That is one of the girls you got for me from TruNorth Farms! She won best in continental class at the Reno poultry show!!!

Aubrey has had her since we had to move from the old place and she is the one who entered her into the show. We are all very proud of Mama!!! She is also a very dedicated Mama which is why Aubrey named her that.

lol Just don't take Mister! He is my loudest roo by far! He crows almost non stop from 6am to 2pm. Then I think he gets a sore throat cause he finally takes a break for the rest of the afternoon. Tank can get a little noisy too once in awhile when he feels like putting on a show for the girls. I can't get rid of him though. Our good friend Sam named him after himself cause he is built a lot like he is. Of course once you take a roo home and he becomes master of your flock he may think it's now his job to make noise! haha
