Nevadans?

I hope you're not using bread yeast. The yeast this is talking about is "nutritional yeast". You can find it at any health food store. It is LOADED with all of the B vitamins and is high in protein as well!
I also read that the food that has the highest concentration of B12 is yeast. So I made up a slurry of yeast, and also gave this chick the baby vitamins Polyvisol and vitamin B12 liquid with some egg yoke which is also a good source of B12.

Yay Candy! Im all for giving the handi-capped a second chance! Once Im done with eggs and everyone here is retired I plan on just doing an old lady/special needs farm lol

Speaking of special-needs farm, Original hurt her foot somehow yesterday. I can't figure out what's wrong with it. She's queen of the yard, but when I was throwing out pieces of bread, her subjects were stealing the bread from her. She's just limping around. But luckily for her, she's earned a lifetime spot here, unless something happens and we have to put her down. Hopefully the foot heals soon, because it's painful just watching her limp around.

Update on the "Star Gazer" chick. I am happy to say he has almost made a full recovery!

I can hardly tell him from the other two chicks now!! I hope others can learn from my experience if they ever have a chick or chicken that has a Thiamine deficiency.
