Nevadans?

While I'm waiting for the chicks from the three broodies to hatch (and worrying about them making it through this heat), thought I'd share some pictures of the last hatch. They're about 2 1/2 months old.
Here's four EE boys. Do you think the one in the second photo is a splash? BTW, if anyone's interested, they're for sale and listed on CL but if someone here is interested PM me.

If you're talking about the bird on the right, I'd have to say no. There's gold in there (unless its from the dirt), and black. Looks to be something of a columbian pattern with lacing on the body?

New peachicks!!!!!!

I finally got pics to upload!!! Well I used the URL instead but it worked. :)

OK I have tons more photos to unload but it's getting hot in the car (connection too weak at home) so I will post again next time I come into town.

If I had a dog though... he would be dog food! It looks like he's been pecking feathers off of the backs of some of the girls. My patience is wearing really thin!

ETA: Hey, I'm finally getting notifications again! WooHoo!

Welcome, Cary!! We have a couple others from Vegas but mostly we are from nor nev. (I know weird right?)

It's a lot easier to own chickens in Northern Nevada! Or about any other urban area that I know about. My landlady wants to own some in Naples, FL but has to have at least 2 acres to do that.

For a family thank-you present for all the hard work this summer, I ordered some shirts that have a red barn and say "Ames Family Farm." I'll take pics when they get here. It's this shirt, customized for us... http://www.inkpixi.com/item/Farm/A1...961877-7&utm_referrer=http://www.inkpixi.com/ But you know... in what other city can a mostly-sustainable farm exist in the backyards of a couple of 2-bedroom houses, a mile from downtown?

Welcome, Cary!!!
