Nevadans?

I made my cookies last night. Which means we had an extra day to eat the "extras." So I'm making more cookies tonight!

the other cookies i'm going to bake tonight are called Berlinerkranser. It's another norwegian cookie. i'm using my Grandma's recipe. I used the norwegian jaerhon eggs in that one to make them extra norwegiany.

That will happen. I made the krumkaker last night and hid the ones for the exchange in my office. there are some rejects in the kitchen, though. that should satisfy them but I know I will be making more of those in the next few weeks. It was fun. I had watched my mom make them for years but it was my first time making them by myself. I started to get the hang of it.

Really looking forward to these!

I added tangerine zest to the pineapple cookies and while they are still good they are a completely different cookie now. Now they are a pineapple-citrus cookie. I hope folks still like them.

Ok, to clarify, the cookie shindig is at 2 and we are to bring 3 dozen cookies, right?
Yep. I'll probably have extras but I came from a big family and can't seem to ever stop at just the right amount. IDK what's wrong with me but I always make too much of everything! Even the snacks and drinks are way too much! *sigh*

Haha I've done that! Lately, when I make custard for rice pudding, I'll use vanilla beans, goat's milk, and duck eggs. We really don't notice a flavor difference with the duck eggs, and I think that's mostly because they have the exact same diet as the chickens. But the yolks are creamier. And I feel like a culinary genius. And the kids feel special, and my husband can brag at work that he had vanilla bean/goat's milk/duck egg custard.

That sounds sooooo good! Ok, now I think my cookie batch I make tonight will have lemon extract and orange zest, and maybe get rolled in a clove/sugar mix. Hmmmm.

Oh good, I was feeling pretty blah that I was bringing oatmeal raisin and snickerdoodle! Because you can NEVER find oatmeal raisin anywhere, right??? Lol. And I would MUCH rather have undercooked CC cookies.

nothing wrong with a chocolate chip cookie. that's what we bake most of the time at my house. most often requested by my kiddos.

I'm sure they will be great. I will be bringing more cookies too. i can't help myself.
