Elizabeth I have 2 types of cookies without nuts for Soren too! One is a pineapple cookie so I hope the kids like pineapple. They were my favorite when I was a kid. My Mom used to make them. Still one of my family's favorites. (Steve is reading over my shoulder right now saying "I can't wait to have your pineapple cookies"). I will make plenty so the cookie monster can have his fill.

Good morning everyone. What a gorgeous day today! The weather is supposed to be lovely tomorrow too! No rain or snow expected (up here anyway).

Aaaaand... my Dad missed TV up here so we got hooked up which means we have music channels for the party! Yea!!! I've got some great stuff for tomorrow. Lots of great fruit, cheeses, crackers, hot cocoa, my special fruit juice blend (pineapple, coconut milk and tangerine juice), hot tea, eggnog, etc. Sorry but I'm so excited to see you all tomorrow! Don't forget to bring a covered container to bring your treats back home in and if you want to share your recipe bring copies to hand out (of course you can always post the recipe later if you'd like). Most of you know where we live but if you don't just let me know and I'll pm our address to you.

Hahaha! Yeah we had that problem with the meringes I made yesterday and the day before. They kept disappearing. I thought I made way too many but since they are mostly air a lot can get gobbled up quickly. Luckily they are super easy so I can make more quickly if I need to. We had about 4 dozen but there's only about 1 dozen left. I can't blame Steve only for this one! I love these silly little cookies.

That will happen. I made the krumkaker last night and hid the ones for the exchange in my office. there are some rejects in the kitchen, though. that should satisfy them but I know I will be making more of those in the next few weeks. It was fun. I had watched my mom make them for years but it was my first time making them by myself. I started to get the hang of it.

the other cookies i'm going to bake tonight are called Berlinerkranser. It's another norwegian cookie. i'm using my Grandma's recipe. I used the norwegian jaerhon eggs in that one to make them extra norwegiany.
