Just wanted to stop in and say hello and I hope you all had a great Christmas.

Can't wait till I have less to do and can hang out on here more. I miss being on BYC 24/7 . Hope everyone is doing well.

Haha........You're cute! Yeah I'm old enough, but then again, I was 34 when my first grandchild was born. My grandkids were talking about how YOUNG their mom is to be a grandma, she looked at me and I said "Yeah well, thanks to your mom I was a grandma at 34! She's old!"

This is little Elias. He had some problems, but he's home now and such a good and QUIET, so far, baby.

Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry it's a bit late. Hope you all had a nice christmas and will have a great new year! we've been enjoying the holidays. jose had to work on the 24th but got home about 2:30 pm so it wasn't too bad. the kids love the snow and are having a ball with their new toys. I got some cute chicken-related things. I'll post some photos later. Chickens are laying pretty well still. I'm getting 12-14 a day. a couple of my EEs and ameraucanas have started to lay again and my welsummer started up finally. first speckled and now the terracotta look. I have a silly silkie who is broody.

Ok, I admit to typing that very, very late last night while I was really exhausted!

Sorry that I haven't been on since the NNPFA show. I Started feeling awful again right after, turns out the infection came back. It took all this time for them to figure out that the infection was caused by the fact that I'm pregnant again, and this time I have an IUD that my body is trying to reject. Hence the infections. I've had the thing for 3 years without any issues. So none of us thought it was the cause. Of course if I'd had any idea that I was 24 weeks pregnant I might have thought differently! Anyway the baby and I are both fine, albeit exhausted. They won't pull the IUD now because I'm so far along, but it hasn't moved and isn't currently a threat either. I feel bad that I missed the cookie exchange , and that I'm so far behind on my plans for this place. Life however likes to force me to slow down after I've missed enough warnings lol. Hopefully I'll accomplish more next summer, and in the meantime I'll just be grateful that we're safe and warm. Even if we're snowed in.

congrats! I'm sorry you had so much trouble. I'll bet you are exhausted with everything you have going on. get some rest!

Ok, Reno (and nearby) gardeners... it seems early to talk about this already, but I wanted to put in my potato order by mid-February if we could. Some of these awesome varieties sell out fast. If you want in on this group order, I'm just asking everyone to 1) prepay, please 2) chip in about $1/lb for shipping. If we get enough ordered, the shipping costs will go down and we might be able to split it up to be even less. If you see a variety that you want and you don't want the entire bag, that's fine because someone else will surely want the rest. Heck, I'd just plant the rest in my garden, or something. Just let me know what you want and how much, and we'll figure out the cost.
