I don't remember if I ever asked you: How did you like the potatoes I gave you when you came to get the tractor?

I can't believe I forgot to tell you! I roasted them in the oven with a little olive oil, garlic and spices. Then served them with sour cream and parmesan. Simple prep but they were scrumptious! Thank you. I've ordered some more from Gurneys for this coming season. Hopefully nothing will waylay my garden plans for this season.

Ok, ok, I went to the dr today. I have a sinus infection. I'm now armed with an expensive antibiotic, a powerful cough syrup and more sudafed. she recommends a consult with an ENT after my antibiotics are done since i have so many sinus issues and my left tonsil is very enlarged.

Hopefully i will be on the mend soon. i really want to feel normal again.

Oh good! I'm glad she's sending you to an ENT. You have been dealing with this for soooo long now. I sure hope they get to the bottom of this and you feel back to your old self soon!!!

I really loved the Purple Viking that I grew last year, too! Those were the most successful ones from the chicken feed bags on the driveway. It probably also helped that I started them earlier, so they didn't have to endure so much of that horrid summer heat!

I also got a much higher yield from the Purple Vikings than the Gold Rush russets. The PVs were described in the catalog as an Early potato vs. Main for the russet. I attributed that to the fact that I got a late start and there wasn't enough time for the russets to fully mature.

Some of those are really good sized for staying in the feed bags. Potatoes like to spread out.

It's comforting that the hottest peppers are still tamer than police grade pepper spray. I had to get sprayed in the face to carry it on duty. Very memorable experience.

Very. But it only lasted about 30 minutes if I washed everything out well. One guy, though, got shot full in the eyes and decided not to wash them out. He was fine, just with red eyes and a runny nose. I relay that story all the time in my self defense classes when talking to women who think they're safe because they carry a little can of civilian-grade pepper spray.

Someone sprayed the floor my daughter lived in in the dorm at her college. She ended up in the hospital nd now uses a breather. That stuff can really cause problems.
