Congrats on the babies! I agree with Seth, it's pretty common with rabbits.
Yes spring can't be far now. At least I hope not! I have seedlings coming out my ears. What was I thinking? Hope I can sell most of them at the Farmers Market this Sunday.

No more baby fatalities. I haven't gone digging in the nest, but she's an experienced mama so I believe she'd kick one out of the nest if there was a problem.

If you can't sell all of your seedlings, let me know and I'll ask my network. A lot of people are REALLY excited about a Farmer's Market that offers actual local produce.

The bad news is our truck broke down, and I need to go get lumber and animal feed on Saturday. The good news is, it broke down parked next to the greenhouse and is acting as an EXCELLENT windbreak for our 50mph gusts.

I love that the chat is about the wind; my man was also lamenting that we don't have wind turbines set up yet! We moved her in September, and we are slowly 'green' ing our lifestyle. He's a mechanic, so the motors and mechanical projects are his favorites. He's making our coop this weekend! Luckily we have a big garage, or I'm certain the wind would have ruined all of our plans.

Spring?  I got my first sunburn of the year yesterday!  Just so y'all know and make sure you get something in place... I don't know about Reno but out here in Fallon we live under a migratory path and I wanted to let you know that the lice this year are horrible!  I spent all day yesterday out with my birds getting rid of their lice.  I'm about half way done.  Doing one at a time is quite time consuming.

Speaking of Chictaw, I wanted to let you know that I cannot possibly get your little diapered silkie out of my head... but guess what? I mentioned a house chicken to my husband today expecting him to blow up and he didn't! He offered arguments against it but I calmly informed him of what I would do in such and such a case. I told him I thought for sure I'd have to wait til he died before I'd be allowed to have a house chicken and I noticed that he didn't say "NO." He just looked at me. He still didn't say no. So, guess what I'm looking for!

I want a little girl silkie sort of like yours and I'll make her little ruffled diapers
