Awww, so sorry Sheryl!! He was special! I sold all of my BLRWs except for my best BLRW hen and a non related Black Laced Red Wyandotte rooster from eggs I bought to ad new lines. I would be happy to collect eggs from them if you want to put some under your broodyI was thinking the same thing but all the fertile eggs are mixes since Lacey is broody right now and I don't have any of her eggs to hatch out which was the project I was doing. I'm going to let things be as they are for now. Thank you Seth. Here's the last picture of him taken from my game camera:

Hey Hillary have any chicks hatching? I think one of my SLW could be in this weekends hatch!
I love breeding my Bantam SLW at Julie's she is so generous, I would feel bad keeping more at her house. She even provides hatching services! My house is maxed out at 9 hens as well.
Imagine if I had more room! I would have SQ everything! I would get ducks and random mix matched chickens that I just kept to show and not breed. I have been looking into Bantam BBS amercuana and can get 15+(18) eggs for $35 from a top breeder shipping included! but he is NPIP so it is complicated and my parents wouldn't let me get them anyway. In order to convince my parents to let me get new birds they would have to be cheap and not at my house with the person caring for them fully willing. I want show birds which are expensive and far away, but I still have my wyandottes LET THE HATCHING BEGIN!
How is everbodys breeding projects going and what are you raising?
WE NEED PICTURES OF THAT! lol so are bantam andanlusians recognized? come wee need pics of those as wellAndalusians. Working on a bantam andalusian project and am overrun with chicks this year. I'm sick to death of hatching and having peeping chicks in the house and I haven't even really started on my large fowl yet!I have several to choose from on the bantam project and therefore will be culling quite a bit.
My little house silkie "Chiquita" is helping me type. I'm tapping keys therefore she is tapping keys! So cute!

It was so sad when Gregory died but I am very happy to have his two daughters and one son. Even though they are mixes they are still gorgeous and i love knowing that i have a little bit of greggors still here
