Nevadans?

I lost one of my chicks last night. I guess she just lost the will to live. Wouldn't eat or drink the last 2 days. I kept her going for as long as I could by dipping her beak in molasses water and ACV water.

Sorry to hear of the baby chick.

Amanda is doing very well mothering her little chicks. They really like to watch the older chickens and Monique likes to watch them back, under the careful watching momma of course:

What a cute Buff Cochin too.

Wow a bumper crop of eggs today! 2 dozen in the last 24 hours, 1 broken so net 23. Out of 20 birds that's a pretty big payday!

ETA: Guess what I'm having for dinner?

Ummm, lemme think...

A breakfast scramble? With ground breakfast sausage, lightly fried with sweet onions, a half dozen eggs scrambled in and when it's almost all finished cooking, a large handful of baby spinach leaves added and cooked long enough to wilt. Then, once it is all finished, a handful of grated colby/jack cheese mixed through and served with fresh plain yogurt and fenugreek sprouts, with home fries on the side?

Was I close?

Feeling low over a wretched hatch. Thinking about lifting my spirits with a chick purchase. We live in south shore but will be shopping in Carson tomorrow. Anyone with spare chicks? I may grab some from s&w but I'd like breeding stock over hatchery...

Yep - well, you got the eggs right anyway, and almost got the cheese right (hot pepper jack).
