Finally caught up - I think

DH has been home for the week and he has been working me hard

We have been reducing the goose population by inviting them for T-day and Xmas day

and will be smoking some also. Moving wood and getting ready to build some small coops for my little bantams.


I so-o-o wanted to go to the chicken show - but I do not drive in snowy weather (my car is more speed and less snow)and DH is heading back -

Maybe I will pull on the snow pants and try the quad..

I have set some eggs to hatch, if anyone is interested in chicks in the next month or so.

They will be heritage Orpington crosses.

Eglyntine: can you post pics of how you did your brooder? I need some good ideas, have some but I can always use some more! My coop is part of my barn. The girls are in a 12x20 stall with free access to the pond, grass and the horse.

Sunny I don't know if you've been on the AM thread or the other I started, but I think Bonnie needs a new name. Clyde is eyeballing a fav x ee pullet, so I guess till I find him a Bonnie, she'll have to do.

Arrrrgggg....I wish it wasn't going to snow, I'd drive up and go meet up with everyone.

We have a big show here the last weekend on January, so you can all rent a bus and come on down.
