I really feel for you.

Aubrey my other friend Sunny W had a friend of a friend who wanted to get rid of her goats. Two nannys, a billy and four kids. She said she would give them away for free if someone would just come get them. Sunny was going to take all of them (some for me!) but when she got there the lady told her someone else wanted some so she couldn't take them all, and oh by the way she decided she wanted $25 ea. for them. Sunny told her she would give her $50 for one nanny and two kids, and take the billy away for free. So she ended up paying $12.50 each for four goats. But, I'm not getting any of them.

She was telling that story here at work and another guy said his neighbor was moving and wanted to get rid of their goats, so I may get some anyway!

Congratulations gaited horse on passing your Eagle Scout board. That's quite an achievement!

HorseFeatherz another guy here at work was saying yesterday he couldn't wait for it to get cool again because of the mosquitoes (he lives in Gardnerville by the river). I was ready to flog him!

Hi Ron!!!! Boy I sure would love some free goats! Everyone so far has wanted about 200 bucks for each goat and I just can't justify spendin that much on an animal that's going to be so much work for me to keep...

No but I do know how animals work, hubby's grandmother was raised on one in Yerington oh and I stayed at a Holiday Inn once too.

I have a line on some from a guy with a large herd in Dayton who sells them for $50 - a dual purpose meat/milk breed. I just heard about it through another guy - haven't got the details yet but I'll keep you posted.
