GUYS. GUYS!!! 8x10 rubbermaif shed on CL for 40 bucks! I called the guy already and he said it has no leaks and is easy to take apart! I figure if I go that route I can definitely soup it up for a good price and make a great chicken fort knoxx. What do you think???

Yeah we got it! The guy was really nice. He says he has a lot of land and farm equipment but he has to move and just needs to get rid of it all. My lucky break! The heavens have parted!

Absoutely! A window... Some ventilation... Some insulation... Perches... Feed hangers...pop door...I feel like this thing just save us a crap ton of money. It's like an exoskeleton! The best thing is that since it's plastic I can do fiberglass windows instead of dealing with glass. That makes me happy because I would love for the girls to get their sunshine bright and early

I'd love to have some Wheaten Marans and I may know a few other folks who'd like some too...and not just only the girls. Absolutely, we'll see what you end up with! I can definitely find takers for girl chickies although I'll personally only want 2-3 tops. It' s sooo hard not to count them before they hatch! Each little egg seems so full of promise! I know what you mean about the boys. I prefer to "deed" the boys asaik (as soon as I know) so that I don't get attached or have to pay for all that feed for nothing. So it's great you can tell w/in a few weeks of hatching. I'm hoping that will help me convince my friends to take a boy too. If they know for sure they have x amount of females then just 1 male doesn't seem so bad. Right?!?
