Those sound cute but I'm not into chocolate much. Well I do have to admit a chocolate cheesecake sound pretty good right now! Still too much work for so many folks.
you could put a cream cheese frosting on the carrot muffins and call them carrot cupcakes. or pumpkin bread is always good. i do enjoy cooking and baking but time and energy (at the same time) are often lacking. I should have said i'd bring a pan of enchiladas. that would have been way easier.
Well, I have toasted a ton of dried chiles and they are soaking in water. that is step 1.
it's real it's real something good finally happened for realsies!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only did the man offer (and follow through!) to deliver the shed, but he even still had the instructions to put it back together!!!!! Ahh!!! My girls are gonna just DIE! I'm gonna die! Do you know what 8x11 MEANS??? it means I can go on vacation for a weekend and leave the girls locked up!! Whooooo hooooo!!!!
Oh andi forgot to ask... Do you guys think I should raise this coop or will it be fine on the ground? I like the idea of raised coops for when it snows but I'm not certain that the bottom of this wouldn't sag a lot if I did that. What do you guys think?
You should have some type of foundation for it. Cement isn't cheap but that is what you should probably have for it. With the cost though you could use pallets for the base.
The pallets is a good idea but they will rot. The cool thing about the resin shed is that if it's on the ground it won't rot. I like the idea of stepping up into my grand chicken mansion though! LOL.

How heavy will it be to move if you need to replace the pallets? I keep seeing a "free pallets" ad on Craigslist at 9600 S. Virginia. You could probably get at least a good year out of them, since they are usually hardwood.
I already ordered half of my seeds today... getting them early so I have money for the baby chicks when springtime rolls around! I have to say that one thing I like about winter is that there are things you just CAN'T do, like the gardening or landscaping. All my commission deadlines are met, so I can spend a couple months dreaming and planning for warmer weather. But I'm pretty sure my husband is tolerating all the constant talk about gardens and chickens because he loves me and he gets good food out of it.
Do the lumber companies ever have sales based on the seasons? All I know about lumber is that the loggers just don't work much in the winter because their trucks might slide off of an icy mountain.
Cost isn't really too much of an issue. I've already got tons of pallets but I'm thinkin I may do cinderblocks and buy some plywood to sit on top of them as a makeshift base. Maybe just do eight cinderblocks as opposed to four and have them evenly distributed
