Nevadans?

I was looking into a booth at that farmers market once but the person in charge never got back to me. Turned out to be a good thing with the erratic weather we had that year. I think a greenhouse would be a must if I needed to produce that much. I really just wanted to sell my extra eggs and tomatoes but I would have sold out in the first 30 mins. The hens just didn't produce enough to keep a booth supplied well. I like the one on California cause it's not so huge and overwhelming. But then the Sparks market gets those wonderful strawberries from Watsonville. They are worth the extra drive.

You are amazing that you can laugh right now! I still feel so horrible for your loss! I guess I feel it more cause I knew the birds that those brats killed!

You always make me laugh and I needed it. I really really need to find a place to move. This time it was my birds, last time me and my dogs and I want to get out of here before it's one of the kids. I'm just so done with this area right now.

I miss my birds! I'm just so sick over what they did to my birds. Thing is I don't want details and the neighbor didn't get graphic. I don't think i could handle that right now. Since I didn't see them, I'm trying to think of it as they're missing. Doesn't help much, because that would drive me crazy too, but to think they're gone forever is something I'm trying to block out.

You really do need to get out of there! Come on up, we have lots of cheap properties up here.

Steve and I are looking now. There aren't any around here on the auction sites but I found quite a few for sale that are very reasonable. They need work though.

I've been reading about your loss and I just can't believe it! I'm so sorry.......

I think the good in all this...and I always try to find the good...is that you may have found a good neighbor. Sounds like he cares about right and wrong and will be another pair of eyes for you. And his age and bumping music car could be just the guy to set those boys straight.

I wish you could move....

Yes I am. I am in the middle of making a Langstroth and already have a Top Bar made. I will start my bees in the Lang and figure out what to do with the Top Bar later. I need a second Lang just in case a swarm is available etc. but I know I ant two hives minimum.
At $120 a nuc I will have to get creative about getting bees.

beesource.com is a good community. and really good information can be found here. http://bushfarms.com/bees.htm

Bush sells a book in three volumes that covers everything on his site. But you can read it for free on the web site. Either way it is packed with some really good information.

Yes beans are a nice crop to grow and do well in our climate. Corn can be touchy but starting out with good seed from a reputable company is the most important part of growing corn.

The black, yellow and blue one? That's one of Gennys blue orp/ buff orp crosses. I've got to get a pic of her in the sun, her feathers are gorgeous!

You do have some gorgeous birds!
