Killer Whales have been around but the pod that's at the Farrallon Islands in the last couple of years are from the Northwest. They are coming further South than normal in the last couple of years. I think the Gyrfalcons are doing the same.

Ah Ha! I have proof and Aubrey is correct. This guy found one of them in the Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge near Lemmon Valley! Way to go Aubrey!

I had to correct the location, the guy who found the bird lives in the Las Vegas area but the bird itself was in Lemmon Valley.

I actually just gave my 4 ducks away. They were cute at 1 day old,but are full sized at 4 weeks and poo on absolutely everything. I had them mixed with my chickens and everyday I felt like my Chickens suffered everyday because of them.They would never go in their house,and so the chicken coop was covered in DooDoo,their water needs to be changed at least once a day because of how much the ducks crap in it.Although we raised them,they werent friendly and ate twice as much as my chickens daily.They waste sooooo much food it was unbelievable. Not to mention dealing with water that freezes.Did I mention the Poo? Oh the Poo! They also stayed up partying all night! Quacking at all hours of the night. No one ever complained about my 2 roosters,but the ducks were another story.They are cute for sure,but EXTREMELY messy and better off left for people who have huge ponds. Call ducks are small enough that the mess might be easier,but I had medium size and they were a total pain.Chickens are way smarter and more independent,Im definitely a chicken person!

What kind of ducks did you have? I have Welsh Harlequinns and I have them in with my chickens. There is no harassment at all and they are not dirty either? They are medium ducks and I'm not buying food any faster than I did before so I'm thinking it must be the breed you had?

I've heard nothing but bad things about Muscovy's and Pekins, I heard they are mean, dirty and the worst to have around. The Welsh Harlequinns are the most calmest and quiet of all the duck breeds. I'm going to try to get 2 more this weekend.

I also read on here ducks will mate with anything that walks but Justin only mates with his ladies and leaves every one else alone.
