Alright Elizabeth! I sure didn't need to wait too long today for your first egg! Are you going to blow the egg out and save it? I did that with my eggs and I'm decorating them now for my Easter baskets.

Yes, I'm going to blow it out and then eat it!

Wooot! That's much bigger than my first egg. But then, my faverolles started laying first, and they're still laying medium-sized.

The race is on to build our new coop! We're going to do it as a family project on the 11th, so I'm trying to find the best deal on 2x4s and a few sheets of plywood before then. We have a few contractor friends, so maybe they'll have connections that we can trade with.

It was. I thought "OMG my baby is going to die!" The color swirls out and it looked like whatever was going on was causing her to bleed, but the blood turned brown when the air hit. I thought I was grabbing up a bloody egg, but nope!

Oh wow! I've seen my girls lay their eggs at the time they were laid but they were in the nest boxes when they did it, it was just so majestic seeing it but now I have a new picture in my mind and it doesn't look all that pretty.

My words of wisdom is to be true to yourself and your friends at all times no matter what the outcome may be, you'll always feel the best by doing this one thing for your whole life!
